Hello, New here, so sorry if I make any mistakes and such.

I've been trying to do pixel art for a video game I'll soon be working on, and I've  been trying to make a character that is good for the customization part.
The character I found that i used was this ctrlv.in/473219 As it seemed like a good one to use. However, I've found no other kinds of it, and since I'm new to pixel art as well I don't entirely know how to make it so you can add tons of different things to it (hair etc). And even after that, animated it by using a few frames.

I'd appreciate help in trying to understand how to do this(and what exactly is going on with the left arm) , the picture is from terrariaonline.com/threads/shadowdxs-sprites.103914/page-15 and there it shows the smaller and scaled up version.

Do note I"m trying not to rip off this piece, but trying to take inspiration from it, as it seems like a good building block to start from.
