Design a vehicle based on an existing species of plant. For example, a spaceship based on Sturt's Desert Pea. Consider things like the shape, colour, and the plant's natural habitat when creating your vehicle.

Fairly certain that it's a hoax.

does this need to be based on a whole plant? could this be like a part, a root, piece of bark, or a fruit or a flower? are mushrooms considered plants? could this be made of parts of different plants?

Meh, Mushrooms are plant-like enough. Just like whales would be good enough to be accepted in a fish challenge.

Also, while I wouldn't be as quick to judge the fleeceflower to be a hoax due to the law of large numbers, knobbly nature of roots, and human tendency to see pareidolia, there posisble are SOME roots out there that look like people. And don't forget that humans have engineered cubical watermelons, buddha-shaped pears, and bananas that can't even procreate...

BUT. Making something looking humanoid would seem to be against the spirit of the challenge.

As i said, snader, I was just doing some research on plants and came across the fleeceflower. I wasn't going to do anything on it, i just thought people would like to see such a thing.

Also, can we do wierd, alien-looking plants?

I hope it doesn't look too vague compared too the plant I'm basing it off of.
