So quick question. I'm preparing for my KickStarter and I want to have this update system where Pan has different expressions depending on the amount reached so far in the KS. I've just begun this morning:

Basically, I'm looking for ideas of other ''states''. The ''tiers'' are the following (each tier being revealed as the amounts are reached):

1,000 - Ok
2,000 - Ok
4,000 - ?
6,000 - ?
8,000 - ?
10,000 -?
12,000 -?
15,000 -?

So I'm basically looking for 6 other things. I'm thinking of Pan in a spa with some ''bread women'', Pan driving a luxury car... but I don't have a lot of ideas besides that. I thought I'd brainstorm with you guys.

I'm also looking for the most nitpicky of criticism about the characters themselves.

Also, how could I make the bricks of cash look less like bricks and more like stacks of cash? I've tried different things for more than one hour but couldn't get to anything conclusive.

Thank you for reading and commenting should you decide to do so.

Perhaps a blanket, a room in a run-down motel, the inside of a car, a tiny apartment, a house , and a fancy house.

@Hapiel: Really? I really didn't so I modified it a bit. I think it looks better.

I appreciate your help but I don't see how they represent statuses. Basically, each increasing ''funding level'' should represent Pan becoming wealthier or having a better ''status'' so to speak. I could have Pan drinking coffee but I'm not sure how to connect that to different statuses.

@Coldmage: Hello and thank you.

I like those ideas. The challenge is making them fit in a rather small space however. I think I could represent the inside of a motel but the whole house would be difficult I should think.

Little update:

Thoughts ? So obviously this must look good as I want to make sure I'm putting my best foot forward so to speak.

Thank you for reading and I wish you a good day.

They're looking pretty nice, but I'm concerned how well it "sells" your game. Your entire Kickstarter page should be about enticing people to support your game and showing them how awesome of a concept it is, even the parts that aren't explicitly about your game, such as this stretch goal meter.

Aside from "there is pixel art" and "Pan is the main character", it doesn't tell the reader anything about the game. Moreover, it seems so far off-theme that it might give the reader a false impression of the game, even if combined with accurate information elsewhere on the page.

What marks progression within the game itself? Use that to guide your stretch goal art. If that isn't appropriate, then at least do something that's on-theme, like using different quality levels of foods (e.g. from really simple fried eggs to a 5-star dessert with all the useless frills).

The game description comes before that part. :) This is just for the actual ''funding'' part if that makes any sense.

I know, but like I said in my previous post, your entire page should be on-theme and helping to inform the player about your game. It's about building a cohesive image of the game subconsciously. Off-theme graphics distort and muddy the potential buyer's impression of the game, even if your preceding description is carefully-crafted.

I understand where you're coming from. I got the exact opposite opinion at another forum though xD:
Sounds like those tiers are not related to Stretch Goals or Backer Achievements (200 tweets, facebook likes, etc) but mainly about the total amount pledged.

If that is the case, then the main theme of the images wouldn't have to be related to the game upgrades but could be mainly about money.

To be honest at this point I don't see myself scrapping what's been done so far so I'll have to cross my finger that I don't get flak for it when I launch the actual campaign.I do appreciate your feedback though えいしいや。

Update:

Played around with the foreshortenig for the fast food, added the spa.
