I am designing a game with a simple style.
Here's my character and it's running cycle:
Any CC on how to improve the sprite and animation and where to pay attention while animating would be helpful, thanks. |

Update:
I've also made some attack animations, there are two versions: (5 frames)
(5 frames)
I don't think the second one look smooth enough, but I'm not sure about the solution. |

Not bad not bad, at least for the running cycle. :)
For the attack, your character look's like she's just turning on herself, it lake a little bit of dynamic in the pause. I'm not an expert at all in animation, but I'd try to start to animate character with rotoscopie. |

The idle and the running animation are good. There's fluidity in the motion but the attack animations feel like an action figure toy being twisted on a flat surface like a top. Maybe putting more bend in the hips and knees could help.
