Hello,

My partner and I have been working on a game that we would like to bring a demo to market by the end of the year on
behalf of my fledgling studio, Brick City Pixels. The basic premise is a stylized Super Nintendo 4 player party game brawler and we're looking for artists that we might
hire to work on the title. At this time, what we are most interested in are sprite artists who feel comfortable doing cute, bright
animated characters and environments. The ability to do particle animations and effects would also be quite desirable.
We are looking at doing interesting effects like dynamic light sources and complex particle emitters to throw the feel for the game
over the top. Some examples of the sorts of style that we're really looking for follow:

(The first is a better expectation of shading and overall feel, the second is a better expectation of the sort of energy we're hoping to convey. Both are good representations of the sort of bright, cheerful tone we'd like)

While I would normally consider doing most of the pixel art myself, I recognize that to meet
the quality and speed of development we want, I'll need to put more of my energy into programming, so I am looking to
find artists who are comfortable potentially revising my work when it just isn't as good as theirs and who
feel comfortable discussing process and composition to make sure that things stay unified.

A raw list of the art that we'd like to contract out is as follows:

2 approximately 64x64px characters with the following animations:
   Idle
   Running
   Jumping
   Dying
   Hurt
   4 Melee attacks
   4 Ranged attacks
   3 Special attacks
   2-3 Still Portraits
(Animations would likely be 4-8 frames per action of course dependent on look at feel)

2 Still environments, 512x384px

Timeline: We would like to have the assets done by mid-December.
Pay: To be negotiated.

If this project sounds like something you would be interested in,
please email me with links to any of your work that you feel are good representations
and as much information about your pricing for this job as possible. Please feel free to be
as specific and clear about costs as you like in terms of cost per hour, cost per animation, expectations of workflow. etc.
We are not trying to bargain-hunt on artists and appreciate if your price reflects something you feel comfortable producing this work in that timeframe for.

Update: We've now run paid art tests and decided on a few artists to hire on. Thank you for your interest but for the time being you can consider this paid offer closed.
