I was thinking about submitting to this challenge. I'm fairly new to Pixel Joint and this is practically my first competition.
What I wanted to know is if this would qualify for the rules. I want to be sure I'm not submitting wrong images.

@fkbm; It looks good to me. If you used only horizontal, vertical and the 45-degree lines, and if it's in max. 16 colors on the canvas no more than 250x250 px, then it meets the conditions of this challenge.

Irenaart put it perfectly.
I'll add the piece to the voting if you decide to upload. ;) |

Awesome! I am going to try and do something better though. I needed something for a lockscreen and thought that since I want to do this challenge I might as well try. I'll upload something until the challenge ends. :D
Thank you very much for the clarifications. |

Are the rules more about the art being made out of those lines, or about the clusters having edges that conform to those angles? My guess and hope is that it's the latter.
For example, apparently tiny triangles like those found in the lock above are allowed despite the fact that they cannot be made with those lines (overlapping lines or single pixels are required), so I'm guessing it's the edges that matter. 2:1 lines are apparently not allowed despite consisting of many horizontal lines, which again sounds like it's the cluster edges that matter, since these lines form a single effective cluster each. I'm a bit worried about my entry because it has tiny triangles, a few 2px-long lines in isolation, and some pixels that hang diagonally off larger clusters. I think it's still very much in the 45 degree spirit, but I'm still worried it might not be accepted. Here's a portion with examples of all the potential "problems": ![]() |

@PixelDust; Great work! I love it... Beautiful color palette and I think it doesn't brake any rule of challenge.
