You are looking for a passion project and not for a commercial game from the beginning?

Then you are exactly right with us because implementing our project is our passion.

Game name: Justicia (insert cool subtitle)
Team size: 3-5
My skills: Team Manager, Marketing, Game Design, Programming
Project length: about 2020 depending on our development speed
Payment: If the project becomes commercial Rev Share

Who are we looking for ?:
- 1 Lead Pixel Artist

Pixel Art Style:
- The game plays in a cuba similar country. This means that everyting is very colorfull but at the same time everything seams pretty dark because of the dictatorship. The resolution is medium high.

Skills we need:
- Fervor
- at least a half years of experience in his area of expertise (with exceptions)

Time required: approx. 2-5 hours per week

What do we offer ?:
- a real passion project for fun and not for money
- not much free time needed
- a very customizable team to your wishes

Project:
You are a judge in a dictatorship and your decisions directly influence the development of the country. How far can you support the rebellion or the dictatorship without endangering yourself and your family? Who can you trust? In addition, a large part of the gameplay is very detective-like. So you have to find out who speaks the truth and even open up connections.

You can download our not recent GDD here: https://goo.gl/Bfe4hr

You are welcome to apply by PM or best by email at stonepunsh.studio@gmail.com

You can find more information about the game on our unfinished website: https://stonepunshstudio.wixsite.com/stonepunsh-studio/the-law-of-justice

Thanks in advance! ;D

So basically you guys are asking for someone with two years of experience to apply on your yet-to-be developed game for the chance of a promise of payment in.. 4 years?

I strongly suggest that, if you're truly this passionate about this project and want someone to be work on it as seriusly as you people expect then build a small budget among you three and hire someone people with it. I also advice anyone not to jump on this for a revshare or the promise of "experiece" when you can earn experience on your own.

I think you are a bit prematurely my friend and it is really not fair to make my chance to find someone a lot smaller without even giving me the chance to justify it.

First I said that two years of experience are perfect not a must. If someone is good enough we would take him with a half year of experience too.

Secound we nearly finished the game design project which is about 10% of a whole game. Only because you can´t see something it doesn´t mean there is nothing.

Third: Do you no why I don´t even want someone who works for this for money only? Because we make this game cause of passion and not for the money. We want to make a game not money and we search for people who think the same way.

And the last point is that I am still a pupil so I cant pay someone and i never promised someone experience. And thats the reason why it takes 2-4 years. I do this in my freetime. And you cant tell me if four people work about 4 hours per week that I can finish a game in a year. I just made a realistic timeframe not like all the other guys here...

And like you said: I dont want people to join for the rev share. I want them to join because of the project and passion. But sadly you reduced my chance to find someone substantial.

Artists usually only take on revenue share projects if the game is demonstrably near completion and a distribution plan is already in place. I understand that it's a passion project... but it's YOUR passion. If someone is going to create pixel art with no expectation of being paid, they'll usually do things that interest them personally, such as working on fan games.

Is there a reason that you need art assets at this point in production? Most amateur developers will either use blank geometry or placeholder art right up to and sometimes through the alpha stage.

Hello,
i added a link to our Game Design Document in the first post (https://goo.gl/Bfe4hr) because i thought than you can learn more about the game than just by the short description.
We are still looking for a passionate new member how searchs for a real passion project. And we lower our expectations to at least a half year of experience.

Hm... I think you can have a passion for a project which is not actually yours too. This is of course rare but is money all you want? I do programming and designing because of fun. Money is a nice to have not a must for me. I hoped that there is maybe a passionate artist out there maybe in my age who just wanna make a cool game. Somehow i get the the feeling that it is all about the money.

But in your secound point I agree you. You are right. It is a bit to early to find someone right now because the plan is to finish the prototype until september and than we need an artist. Why do I search now for an artist? Because the need mockups right now and a bit of branding as studio and game. Also I prefer that an artist is involved in the development in an early stage too because he can think from a perspective of an artist and start making graphics early.
