@krugelix, @gawrone: thanks guys! i agree, the second version doesn't divide the tile in such an awkward way. i'll stick to it.

Yeah! You finally got the isometric carpet right. Unfortunately your tile is not ready to accept yet. You should always work with the suroundings of your tile, not on your sole tile separated from the rest of the collab image (and also present it to us at least with the part of the surrounding, so we don't have to copy it and paste it ourselves to see). As you can see:

Your tile doesn't connect well with the rest, and is even it the wrong size. It's too big. You have the red carpet isometric now, but the rest of the house still needs to be added. At least the second column and the part of the wall, and the part of the wooden step, you clearly are cutting away.

Summing up:

1) Crop the tile to the right size (fit it to the template or - better - to the downloaded full collab image or part of it which contains your tile)

2) Focus on the connections with tiles 24 and 39 that are smooth, clean, and make sense.

Oh my, I forgot about it, use selection tool to move here and there and when I use the collab full imagem probably have over the tiles, so I didn't saw it was overlapping.

Thanks for the comment. I have done many small changes here and there, and I have also added some bending to the tightrope.

I think I won’t perform any more changes, if the tile is acceptable as is.

right, i'd say it's done:
stupid question: if i decide later to alter the tile a bit (antialiasing for example), can i do that?

i'm thinking about adding a tunnel for rollercoaster with entrance / exit in form of pixel nerd's head, but i don't see any space for it so far...

@Mrpixeldude; sure take your time. For the people & lion to be isometric, they have to have volume. You can make that via shading.

@technologgamer; the second column is still not isometric though. And one more thing; one important aspect of the tiles we post is the theme. Your tile needs to have something about "circus, theme park or zoo" in it.

@paperdomo101 and Sarahboev; I made your reservations.

Looks super nice! Wow!
I just don't understand, wat the few dots on the rudder are and if the sail is hanging over board. It looks like it goes the sail goes all the way to the water.

@Krugelix, here's my reference for the sails.

The back sail is what's called a Spanker.

I agree it looks weird, I'm not sure is it sail 1 or 2 that we're looking at? In either case it should be higher, and not be hanging below the deck, no?

You're looking at both sails, they are not below the deck at the moment, maybe placement of the guy prevents it being readable? (Realistically it should have been much higher but again realistically this ship should be occupying 70% of this collab.)

Well, there is not much difference between your two last updates, so I assume this is the reason you haven't got much feedback :)

I can see that you added few pixels of shade on the clothes of the characters. It is not much but it helps a bit.

The shadows on the ground are not acceptable yet. The template file with Back to the Future characters shows you shadows you could use as reference. Your shadows are also too dark in my opinion. They are darker than your wood. I thing to get shadows like that we would need a very strong, direct focused light.

Also your fence ends on the left edge of your tile in non iso way, and without making it possible to be continued on the other tile. The right side of the fence allows to be continued though so if that left end is a deliberate decision, the fence makes no sense - the lion would just go around it on the tile #2 and eat those two people :)

Sorry I'm busy with work nowadays. About the shading, you are not going the right way, there are plenty of examples on how characters can be shaded in the collab.

Also, we spoke about this situation between the mod staff. When we give a criticism, it's not something you're supposed to place a few pixels and get over. One of the main points of this collab is to learn & get better - not just to put something and get a trophy. So, please scratch whatever you have done so far and be ready to start over a few times before you get it right. Try to use some examples from other people's art. A lot of us improved ourselves in these collabs, you can, too. Just check how far Terzom has come in just a few weeks.

Oh, thank you Irena. This means a lot since I consider you as an expert and inspiration in cartoon character tiles.

What else we could pack in here since this is already a slight streach from ... other type of park?

@Mrpixeldude I already got the impression that your previous post was rude, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt. This is second time so it's much more clear to me.

You were given tips and encouragement to improve your tile, and you kept on doing minior adjustments, smaller with every time, to the point of adding few pixels, and throwing it at us.

All I can say is that if you decide to quit, becasue you thought that you will get a trophy for the lowest possible effort, than it's actually good that you are quitting, and if the collab really sucks (which I'm far from considering true), than it deffinatly will suck less now.

If our main tasks as mods here are 1) trying to squeeze out of the participants the best possible quality they can provide with their given skill and free time, and 2)  guarding the rules of the collab and common decency in all discussions and actions here, than you quitting is actually doing our job for us.

Thank you.
