Greetings. Sorry for the bad English. Google translate is my only ally. In short: I'm a newbie to pixelart. I have never studied any aspect of drawing or attended any school. The only thing I am doing is attending some courses aimed at drawing and pixelart on domestika. So I get stuck all the time. I am working on this illustration and of course I am completely lost on how to continue it. The main problem is the textures of the background and the energy globe. I didn't want to limit myself to huge blocks of clusters. In the gallery I see wonderful images of suns or in any case bright celestial bodies well detailed. I would like to learn new solutions to be able to enrich my images, but in fact it is a gigantic obstacle for me.

You are using a very large canvas and a small palette. That means the colors are stretched rather thin and you need to do huge amounts of dithering or other kinds of patterns if you want to make the colors blend in interesting ways.
I recommend reducing the canvas size to 50% or even 25%. That will make things much more manageable and lets you concentrate better on the pixel level details. Once you feel comfortable with a certain canvas size you can try a larger one. Another option is to add more colors. Having more inbetween shades of blue would help to give the energy sphere a more rounded appearance. I hope this helps! |
