![]() I'm stuck in a loop of revising my base sprites. The problem is that at any moment they look good, but every time I look back at pre-revision works (that looked good to me at the time) they look horrendous to me and I don't know why I thought they were any good. I'm mainly looking for critiques about consistency (especially height/mass) and colors and if certain shapes look off. |

Made a lot of revisions in order to try to improve mass consistency.
Do the feet look too big? I'm thinking about making them smaller. What do you think? ![]() |

I'd say my issue is that the eye in the portrait is of a different style than the character. I think Final Fantasy Tactics managed to transition from one version to another well.

I think the rounded feet are a bit cuter, but the sharper feet are more "realistic". Either way I think it is a small detail though. The base sprites already look quite good. The portrait feels like it could use some more work though. Since you seem to be going for a FFT style I'd probably study how they designed their portraits.
