Hi everybody, this is my first post and the first bit of pixel art I made.
I thought I'd post it here before the putting it in the proper gallery to see if there are any glaring problems I have missed.

I like it, but there is something about the glass that isn't right (not sure what really). I think you should split up the floor into slabs or something, add some textures to the piece. You could also border the floor with the edge of a road or a bush or soemthing similiar as it seems quite bare.

apart from aforementioned issues, your shadow is off as well, the overall shadow direction appears to be topright, but on the ledge halfway high, it suddenly goes straight right ..
same with the man and the menuboard besides him. Man goes right, menuboard goes topright. also, apart from the colors being on the saturated side, the walls could do with some 'texture' they look kinda bare ... perhaps make it stucco with cracked parts through which bricks show ... make it more interesing, more details. don't give it all away in one go :) |

It's looking good. Sort the colours out a tad, The 'House' word has to be lighter, though.

Thanks everyone,
I've sorted out the colours and worked on the shadows. I know what you mean about putting more detail in. I think that the biggest problem with it is that I've been trying to run before I can walk, it's been pretty complex for a first serious attempt.
So I'm gonna leave it there for now and go back to doing some simpler stuff. Once I get a bit better I'll revisit this and hopefully incorporate it into a bigger scene.

You've definately got some iso talents!
But this piece is begging for texture! And not to mention some more details here and there to add to it (e.g. maybe some drunk stumbling people outside or maybe some posters or somehting). Keep going! |
