Ok, I am making this in an attempt to put a cease to the countless emails, pm’s, im’s, etc I have gotten the past year.

No, I’m not friendly to the people I first meet, online or not.  Why?  I have been burned, backstabbed, screwed over…  Pick your favorite slang for being deceived and betrayed, it will apply to me.  In real life or on the internet, it has happened more than I would care to count.   

For this reason, I am very cautious of new people whom stumble into my life.  I have also become very bitter towards those I don’t know…  Don’t take it personally.  Every friend and acquaintance I have has gone through it in one form or another.  I could say I don’t like what it has done to me and that I wish that I could change that, but I refuse to lie. 

This is how I defend myself, to keep the betrayal to a minimum.  I do open the door fully to some and give them my full trust…  I gave Larwick complete access to my servers when he couldn’t get any ftp clients to work with AOL.  Jalonso I would trust with anything, as well…  Not to mention people like Sedge, Istvan, Pixelblink, Rodder, and Souly, to name a few…  They earned my trust by not only hanging in there when I would get angry, but by putting up with me for so long. 

They also got to me early.  I have to admit, becoming and admin here has also raised my level of distrust towards new people.  Before I was blind to the amount of non pixel art and rips that pass through this site…  A few would slip by, however many are caught.  I had no idea how many people sought out to blatantly deceive the community.  Don’t get me wrong, I love being an admin here.  In my opinion, I have done much for this community, whether it be something so small no one but I will know… or something more major like helping sedge redo the rank names and icons.

I try to help and be as understanding as possible, even if I think the person is being ignorant and overly unobservant, I still try.  I try to give fair warning for every violation of PixelJoint policy that I happen upon.  Some of you may see me as unfair because you are a “noob”, but, before you PM me or make a forum post, keep in mind what you read here…   

You may say to yourself “It is unfair that you judge me because of someone else’s actions!”  I disagree.  Everyone, no matter their status, has to overcome what others before them have done.  Kings, queens, presidents, CEOs, artists, and even plumbers.  Everyone here has either done it themselves, or will do it.  That’s not some whacky idea, but instead is the cold hard truth.  Many members here have gone through that with me, take bolught for example…  He came here out of no where with this beautiful pixel art… I was skeptical at first, but now I deeply respect him as an artist and as a great person.

Now with all that said…  From this day forward, any email, pm, im, comment, or whatever I get calling me an asshole/jerk/prick/moron, will be deleted on site, so stop sending them.  I know what I am, and I am ok with what I am.  I have seen and done some amazing and f**ked up things in the short time I have been around, and wouldn’t change that for all the riches and power in the world.   

If you have a problem with me, contact me in a polite and mature manner and not only will I read and take your views and opinions to heart, but I will also respect you just a little more…  And any respect from me is a step in the right direction.

I think that whether online or not, trust and respect is always something earned, not given without rhyme or reason. I feel honored that you mentioned me in your rant. I feel the same about you buddy. Now, can I borrow a hundred million dollars? I swear I'll pay you back next week.
