Won't too much of that make it look like a run-down building though?

I just updated the picture, does it look any better? worse? what else could it use.

As are [img] tags.

The perspective of the yellow building is all sketchy.

We're not talking about making the image bigger, you should post it on the forums by uploading it to an image host and the [.img] (w/o period) tags.

The point isn't that we can see it in Deviantart. The point is it's WIP forum for posting your WIPs and it's a lot easier for us/more likely for us to critique it if you put it in the actual post.

You liked the thumbnail image, not the actual image. Use the very very last link on image shack and put the [.IMG][/IMG.] (w/o the period) tags around it.

OMG, what the hell are you made of? 10 kinds of stupid and 50 kinds of lazy? It doesn't take that much effort and internet knowledge to post a friggin image, ffs.

It takes less to load the image onto imageshack than it does to DeviantArt. If you can't spend 2 seconds loading it and posting the right link, then you're hardly cut out for the time consuming, meticulous, detail oriented form of art that is pixel.

stop being a crybaby n00b and just post the image.

1. Not when the people they are flaming are being lazy/stupid/whiny/all of the above/etc./you.

2. In case you haven't noticed, grand master pixel genius, the forum is equipped with a code that lets us zoom in on an image when we click on it (which deviantart Doesn't have) so we don't have to copy/paste things into whatever program and zoom in that way. We actually like to SEE the pixels. THAT's why we like people to post the images. Cause it makes us easier for us to critique sh*t. What would be the point in them taking the extra time to add the f**king code onto the forum if everyone just linked to f**king deviantart? (and not to mention, linking to deviantart just gives you extra page views. can we say deviantWHORE?).

3. Deviantart takes forever. You have to click on a category, preview image, keywords, etc. etc. Image shack takes half the time. Click the file upload. All you have to do is READ which links are for where and which is the image and not the THUMBNAIL. It takes half the time and half the effort, and it lets us click and zoom on the image.

4. Fine. Be a douche.

EDIT: This forum is the kind of forum people with two brain cells can use. It's REALLY not that hard. Basic BBCode. It's no different from the thousands of other phpBB forums out there.

Now. Stop being stupid and just post the image and we can get on with the crits.

THERE. AND OMG IT TOOK SOOOOO LONG. FFS, get a grip.

And since you want 'em, here's some crits for you:

1. JPG is bad for pixel art. Save as a GIF or PNG. If you need further explanation as to why it's bad, ask.
2. By sketcky I mean it's not in perspective. The roof is not the same as the base of the building.
3. Your colors are way saturated. Tone them down a bit.
4. I suggest you post each building in an individual image with transparency. The white background is annoying.
5. Your trees could use some leaf texture. Try drawing bunches of leaves as a sort of pattern to create the ball of the tree. That's much better than a massive green blob.

Now stop your stupid bitching and pixel.

Are you too stupid to see that there's scrollboxes also?

And it's only too big because you're geniusness didn't put them in individual images. Since there's no road system or anything drawing any of these images together, they should each be on their own.


EDIT: Sure we can start now. But next time, don't throw a tantrum like a f**king five year old and do it yourself, jackass. It's ridiculous that I have to post your own images to get you to stfu. What am I going to do next, change your diaper? Grow up. edit: you were kidding? Then that makes two things you suck at. The first one being life.

Glad to see you've stopped bitching.

The perspective of the building looks semi-isometric. It's at an angle. And the top of the roof is drawn at an angle. But the side of the roof closest to the viewer isn't angled at all, neither is the bottom of the building. Hence, it's out of perspective. Either draw it from the side view, no angles, or a top looking over view, with angles.
