Calling all Awesome Sprite / Pixel Artists!

 

Gameloft, a leading international publisher and developer of video games for mobile phones, is seeking 2D Sprite/Pixel Artists to join their existing talent pool. Qualified candidates will link up with imaginative design teams to create hot new game titles, fulfilling a wide range of genres from hardcore action to casual simulation.  Previous hit games include LOST, Dogz, Brain Challenge, Gangstar: Crime City, Asphalt: Street Rules, Live Free or Die Hard, Shrek The Third, Heroes and Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood 3D. As a key member of the development team, you’ll create game art from the initial concept directly through final delivery.

 

Must-haves/ know-how:

·         Sprite/Pixel art experience for a product that has already been released onto the market (low-resolution computer graphics:  2D video games, sprites, icons, etc.) but self-taught candidates will also be considered

·         Proficient in Photoshop, Promotion and/or other drawing software

·         Strong understanding of the principles of animation

·         A solid background in academic drawing, sketching and/or illustration

·         Think creatively, work well independently and as a team player

 

You’ll earn brownie points if you have:

·         Knowledge about optimization of computer art

·         Previous experience creating sprite/pixel art for GB, GBA or mobile games

·         A love for video games, inside & out
