I was working on this tree for a background, I liked it at first but now it looks weird to me  and I cant seem to figure out whats wrong.

It is lacking the innate randomness of nature. Looks good for a more cartoony look tho.

Maybe it should'nt be a perfect straight line. Also the roots begin too abruptly, you could add more curves in there.

i think they're right straight line aren't common in nature and the root look a little short also throw some leave at the bottom bottom it'll look like you put some effort into it
