1. I'll be honest, there is no "company." We're, three of us, are just a few friends with a mutual interest in creating a game(s) with a mutual lack in artistic talent.
2. The job (volunteer work, really.. though you will be credited!) is fairly simple and straight forward. You'll be responsible for creating most, if not all, of the sprites for the game (Although it's highly likely you will be working along side a few others, I would never dream of putting everything on one artist). The details of the game will be listed below, for anyone interested. Again, because I'm asking for volunteer work, the schedule will be pretty lenient on when you're expected to deliver. This can be discussed between our two parties and hopefully a workable schedule will be reached. 3. Currently, we can't pay anyone for their work. We're all unemployed. However, should we find jobs, we would have no problem providing fair compensation for all work done up to that point, as well as any other work done after wards. (Still, I can understand if you're wary of this. Why bank on future prospects?) 4. I can be reached at SanguineCruelty@gmail.com, or TheBlackMasque@gmail.com. Likewise, I can be reached on MSN at Zero_Frame@hotmail.com, or on AIM at Sanguine Cruelty. 5. There is no website. 6. There are no previous projects. Game Details The game will be most similar to the old Side-Scrolling Beat'em Ups, similar to Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time, for the arcades. There are, however, elements of RPGs and fighting games planned. Examples include a branching, semi-freeform combo system, character growth, levels, and a class/job system, open levels and a fairly in depth quest system (though this is still in discussion.) As such, the hardest thing to do will likely be the character models, as well as the armor and weapons and ensuring they fit, and blend, well with the combos and magic systems. The world map is expected to be fairly large, and thus the game to be fairly lengthy. Likewise, the locations and backgrounds will be varied, from deserts to jungles, volcanoes to sky-temples. Enemies will be varying, and very strange in some areas. Truly, the best way to describe this game is like a mix of Oblivion (or Morrowind), smashed with Turtles in Time, or Double Dragon, with a touch of Oddword and Devil May Cry. I know it sounds rather ambitious and I realize that the odds are against me. Still, it's worth a shot. In any regard, thanks for your time. |
