Hopefully the distinction between the middle dog and the upper body will become more recognizable as I color. P:

I just got a tablet like a week ago and I'm trying pixelling with it for the first time.
Well, this isn't a pixel yet, but it'll be soon. I need some advice on the anatomy, etc, and what direction I should go in with this.
(note: outline colors are NOT final colors)
Also, Nemesis looks stupid, any help with that?

I couldn't find an exact ref for the pose I needed so I improvised a little (or maybe a lot judging by what you said). Any advice on how to make my pose look more natural?

Have someone pose like that for you then draw it on paper

try to take the photo from the same angle you're looking to create in your image. in this case, the photo should be taken from your right(like you did in your drawing). or else, things can be screwed a bit.

somehow i think you could trace some aspects of the image to give you an idea of shapes and volumes...

completely dumped the old concept for this one. Much easier, and will probably end up looking better...

So, for Abscure's newest game I'll be making the tiles...  It's kinda scary since I've never tiled before. D:

I'm going for an updated version of the Dragon Warrior Monsters style, as that's what the game's based on. Should I make another tile for the dirt so it's not so repetitive?
(also, follow the saffron brick road)

It might be a good idea to spread the dogs out a bit.  Especially the left one.  And I don't know if youre planning on keeping the bottom area between the middle dogs legs completed shaded black, but if not, you should put her legs in there, as well as the dogs.

Its hard to get so many details in when youre just drawing in outline.  I used to do this all the time with my sprites and everything came out too 'thick'.  I would suggest trying to redraw this in silhouette, with some grays to help differentiate between parts.  It wil help slim the figures down. ;)

I've gone ahead and combined all of your recent topics into one. Please refrain from jumping around so much like that when you can easily try to finish one project.

Ack, sorry.
I didn't want to complete the first two because it's pretty obvious I suck at anatomy. I didn't want to complete the second one because I didn't get any crit on it, and I'm still working on the tiles.
As for Scylla, if it's working well I'll complete it. Her legs aren't supposed to be there, it's the dogs legs that are holding her up.

Yeah, I remember that... I'm not too interested in the first thing I posted at the moment, but I took the advice of the people at Pixelation and made a smaller piece:

I know I skip around a lot. I'm still working on the tiles and the two profiles will eventually get finished once I get more crit on that.

I think is hard to critic anything since you really don't care about finishing them.

I don't remember anyone else saying it's not okay to drop a project because you don't like it.
The only project I'm dropping here is the backfacing view of the boy. The others I'm still waiting for crit on.

my point is that you start working a new WIP everytime you feel you can't handle it. wich is not bad at all, but also doesn't show any real interest to progress on your own. even with all the critics you got on pixelation you didn't continued working on the first wips you posted. this discourages anyone to take your threads seriously. to take you seriously.

really. focus on something, work on something, put your efforts and complete it. its worst if you post ten wips that will never be finished and let them hold you. pixelart is all about patience. if you lack patience, then no one will be able to help you.
