I'm attempting my first ever fully isometric scene and I'm having issues with converting a flat pixel portrait, such as the one used in my Avatar, into an isometric angle in order to create a poster on the room I'm making. Initially I merely moved every shifted every couple of rows of pixels up or down (depending on the angle) as to have it match the angle of the wall, however, this causes a widened looking version of the face-forward image and doesn't look that good. I've been experimenting, and so far the best I've done is create a vaguely accurate looking image by deleting every second row and then pusing it in together.

Any tips for converting something to an angle?

Well pixelart isn't about finding easy ways to do things or shortcuts. Generally, the more effort you put into actually pixelling something the better it will turn out.

My suggestion is just to start from scratch and pixel it as if you were looking at it from an angle. This way you have more control and ultimately you'll find it will probably be quicker than shifting pixels all over the place in the hope that it will end up looking good.

Check 1-2+3. It can help transform 2D to iso on certain things.

This should work. If not, repixel it. It's a simple image so it shouldn't take too much time.
