they all look like nubly crap

Well the pink ones are okay...

maybe that means it the palettes fault...

In terms of the palette, the yellow would benefit from having more orange and more saturated darks. Also the fact the pink flower has higher contrast makes it stand out more.

This scene looks like it symbolizes someone looking for their partner in a large group of others. Or perhaps drifting away. OOoh. Lol.

This is gonna sound harsh...but I think you really just need to rethink this scene. Right now it's very un-skeddles quality. Try playing around with perspective, it might look a bit better with a more 'dynamic' viewpoint.

Maybe have the image low down, as if from a flower's perspective, or have the flower looking up towards a cliff where the other flowers are, or maybe the lone flower is in a flower pot looking out of a window pensively at the others...etc...

sorry for suggesting a complete redo of your piece, it just seems this concept could benefit from something more interesting.

Lonely flower knows both pink flowers are pink. Does other pink flower.

Thanks Skamo. I completely agree with you, this could use a much better perspective / creative standpoint, but I just don't have the time. Though I gotta start working on giving my art better poses / perspectives.

not really, all you need to do is relax and dont push yourself to get overly technique-fitting scenes. i've seen a faily good control of colors in your `pieces, so its all about use them to smash your idea.

Upped the saturation to 100% baby. Probably looks more scary than I think it does, 'cause this laptop isn't as saturated as my home computer, but owel.

It actually looks pretty cool without the other flowers lol. But that kinda defeats the purpose.

I could add just the other pink flower... But then you can't tell they're different... The yellow doesn't really stand out on the green grass, maybe it should be changed... though that may be squeezing even more meaning into my piece... I don't really like the color pink, but it's probably the most noticeable, aside from red... I should prolly change it to red...
