Are you a talented pixel artist who wants to make graphics to a mobilegame?

Virtualpunk is a location based (mmo)rpg mobile game. The game will be played outdoors in all kinds of (bad) light conditions so the graphics must be made with quite high contrast / saturation.

Your salary will be based on your experience and quality of work.

If you are interested please provide a sample according to the following guidelines:

Version 1: The total size shall not exceed 30x30px. This image is used in the exploration mode. Several other images will be shown on the screen at the same time. Details are not that important. Emphatize should rather be put into ease to recognize the creature on a 320*240 screen while walking in an outdoor environment.

Version 2: The total size shall not exceed 75x75px. This version of the image is used while in battle mode. In battle mode only one image is shown. No animation are to be implemented in this phase. This is the "real" view of the creature. Also this image is where more details are required.

We would like to have 2 creatures made (toally 4 images) based on the guide above.

Creature 1: The first creature is a Cultist Priest. The Cultist Priests are powerful magical creatures.

Creature 2: The second one is a Cultist Warrior. The Cultists Warriors are the guards and warrior class of the Cultists. They are not very skilled in magic so they mainly use their physical strength in battle.

All Cultists are humans. They are situated in a limestone environment with alot of magical symbols and mysterious objects. (Please observe that the environment information is not to be implemented in the image you are making. It is added as a help to understand the settings.)

How much work is it to do in total? I think most people will want to know that before they whip up 4(!) sample images for you.
Also, what angle are you supposed to see them from and is the style supposed to be cartoonish or realistic?

Thanx pixelaro for highlighting some important information that was not included in my first post.

Here is a screenshot of one part of the game with some old angband graphics. I hope this can be a help in understanding how the images are to be used.

Regarding the style we don't want to control the artist. But as an input in the creative process: we rather see a turn towards realistic images than pure cartoonish images. The target group is male individuals (how original) about 16-25 years old.

When it comes to the total amount of work it is quite hard to give an exact figure. Right now there are a total amount of 30 monsters. But there are other graphical elements; counting to around 160.

Also, this is the very first beta version. A full release will probably consist of twice this amount.

I hope this clearifies the matter to some extent.

Best regards

Ah ok that clears things up, though your image seems to be dead.
