This game does NOT use RPG maker
Legends of Aldring

http://legendsofaldring.webs.com/
In Development by CrazyGamer Inc

CrazyGamer Inc is a new company formed of some very ambitious young adults who all have a passion for games, game design, and for creating something that will stick out and is different from the other games you see on the market today.
We strive not necessarily for excellence, but ask only for hard work and imagination. Anyone who can bring those two things [ Along with a basic sense of responsibility ] is welcome to the team.

Legends of Aldring is an ORPG that is in the core development stages [ Graphics and storyline development ] using a modified version of the vbGore engine.
We are in need of a few pixel artists to possibly help with tilesets and in-game icons for items, weapons, and armor.
This is a completely voulunteer project, so nobody is getting paid, but if you show good work and drive, CrazyGamer Inc may consider contacting you regarding future projects that may involve paid work.

As said before, we need tilesets and in-game item icons.
The in-game icons will be 32x32 graphics, and the tilesets will be made-up of 32x32 tiles as well, but can vary to almost any size needed. The character sprites in this game are a bit smaller than most [35x32], so the tiles would need to be a bit smaller than usual as well to fit the characters. [ Dont want huge buildings and tiny characters ]

Quality does not need to be professional, but does need to be of a serious style. We are also looking for people that have a similar style to each other so that the game looks nice and uniform throughout.

For any questions post here or contact me by email at g.m@admin.la

More In-Detail Job Instructions

In-Game Icons
Once we finish the list of all the in-game items [[ That includes items, armor and weapons ]] we will begin assigning them icons. There will be multiple items that use the same icon, or very similar icons, so you will not have to make individual icons for every single item in the game.
Since that list has not yet been completed, whoever accepts this job will not have much to do at first. If you would like I can send you a copy of what we have so far and you can begin working on basic icons such as the icons for generic items, armor, and weapons.
As soon as that list is completed, we will begin assigning icons and will at that point send you a list comprising ALL of the icons we will need.
If you do not wish to complete all the icons, you can just do the ones you want and will be given appropriate credit.

Tile Sets
We are in desperate need of an artist [[ or artists ]] to work on tile sets. CG plans to give LoA a very open-ended world with a lot of replay value and exploration. This makes for a good game, but also makes for a lot of work with the tile sets and maps.
We will need basic tile sets which will be broken into three categories; Outside, Inside, and Towns. We will also need some more specific tile sets for certain key areas in the game, especially the town of Aldring. Aldring will likely have three or four tile sets  itself. Here is a basic breakdown of the tile sets and what we need / are looking for [ May change ]
  • Basic Tile sets
  1. Outdoors - Forests, Fields, Caves, Deserts, Lakes, Mountians, Snow/Ice areas, ect.
  2. Indoors - Insides of Buildings mainly
  3. Towns - Outside areas of towns, Houses, Buildings, walkways and such
  • Specific Tile Sets
  1. Aldring - Aldring Indoors, Aldring Town, and Aldring Outside, as well as maybe a tile set for secret areas.

well for instance one of the things that LoA is going to do that is different than most ORPGs is that instead of just creating a character and choosing a "class" in the very beginning, you start off as a regular citizen basically, and will have many ways to expand your characters abilities, which allows for much more unique characters and gameplay.

Well, as i've never played Dungeon Siege, I cant answer that. However I'm pretty sure Dungeon Siege is not online. Most ORPGs force you to choose a class when creating your character(s).

Also that was just one example of what we were talking about. There are many features that we plan to include to help make this game stick out. I never said every single thing in the game was going to be a brand-new epic idea, just that we don't want to do the same thing that has been done nine million times over.
