This is my first piece of art here and it got rejected. Now I'm not saying it's the best but it's supierior to some of the other art I've seen here...Was this rejected on purpose and if so, why?

	You've probably had a message explaining why. I can guess some reasons: far too many colors (104!), doesn't look hand pixelled (I'm not saying it's not, just doesn't look), bad work on some outlines (hands), not enough contrast. Also, but I might be wrong there, it looks to me like a too-literal, not so personal, interpretation of Mario.

	I'm not the one who sent this piece back, but I think the main reason for its rejection is the lack of originality. It's far too similar to the official Mario artwork that you based it on. Other than the name in the corner, there isn't really anything about this that you can call your own.

	It is so weird that everything is completely perfect, except for the hands which are very very bad. It looks as if you traced everything except the hands, and this kind of tracing is frowned upon..
