well here is my problem, i wanted to start drawing some tiles for the ground in a platform game peice i was doing. and i figured should do more levels so i wanted to do these levels and couldn't think of how they would look.

so i went looking for some work other people have done to help give me ideas, and couldn't find anything of any help. so i guess i'm asking you if you could help and give e some links or pictures which will help me?

Really???

Make a search on the PJ gallery on 'mockup', maybe 'platform' too, then on this forum, then on Pixellation, then check actual games such as Nitrome, then...

There is a Games category on PJ, I still don't know how you browse cats though, you probably can't. Results are largely similar to the 'mockup' search anyway.

yeah i've tried doing all that, i wouldn't be here if i hadn't tried that. pixelation has like 1 or two platform view tiles of snow. but they aren't of much help. as for warehouse/factory tiles they are basically non existent.

so can anyone help me?

Factory tiles are difficult, it's all dependent on what you want the floor to be made from. So probably concrete. Basically, grey spiced up by crates and stains and spills :P

As for snow, I've been having a play around with a multi-purpose tile (Recolourable) and am currently here with a snow one. It's not drifts or anything, and the crusty texture's probably too much.

(I developed that from an earlier piece in which I managed to do some decent snow, here)

(And sorry for the plugs XP )

The principle stands, it's just a matter of rendering.

Sorry, I hadn't read the title of your post.

Still, there's what you're looking for at Nitrome's - unless you want a mockup with both snow and factory, that is ;)
