My first attempt at pixel art. Had a ton of fun doing it. I feel like the sprinkles are the best part, the jelly is the weakest.

The doughnut itself needs more contrast.  Try making the colors more noticeable.
Sprinkles are also need more contrast, and there should be a hole in the frosting.  Lines are a bit inconsistent, try making them more smooth without anti aliasing. 
Try making the colors a bit less saturated.  That way you can use the filling color as a darker shade for the frosting, so that you are not thinking frosting is pink, and jelly is purple.  This way you can keep the color count low.

Pretty good for your first attempt :)

TRH is right about the colors and stuff, u need much much more contrast,also u have a lot of stray pixels sneaked in ur picture, keep control over ur colors... looks up tutorials on color ramps, selective outlining and shading ....
im lazy to write so heres an edit [top: palette cleaning/ bottom: some suggestions, lovely c64 palette aplied.. (colors reduced from 39 to 6)]
