Yesterday I uploaded two png with transparency made in Gimp(added alpha channel, and deleted white parts). In my browsers(Opera and IE) it was transparent, but still I had received this message:
REASON: Please make sure backgrounds are transparent or serve a purpose -- don't just post a white background unless it fits. If you need help making a background transparent please refer to the FAQ. Be careful with PNG transparency!(...)

I have just re-uploaded it in gif file.
Why I can't use PNG files for challenges with transparency?
Will my pics take part in challenge about controllers?

Most browsers don't (yet) support .png transparency. It's better to stick with .gif and be safe :)

All modern browsers have full support for PNG transparency (alpha or bitmap). The only widely used one that doesn't is IE6.
