tables? why not css? tables are heavy and deprecated :)

spend some days to learn css, and you'll get to "code" your layouts fast and cooler than cindy sherman at photos ;)

there are many tools for slicing (turning an image like your one into a set of rectangular images, each one assigned as background to a table cell), but they usually produce slow and lame code

learning html and css is as easy as drinking a cup of tea, and "coding" by hand you'll get your website up and running, cool and fast as it can get

this is all you need... fallow the resources link
http://www.csszengarden.com/ - http://www.csszengarden.com/

(if you do want to stick to tables, you can go for some gimp plugins, they'll do the slicing for you... or you can get your hands on dreamweaver)
