Subject: wich program for long animations ?

hi,
i'd like to start a movie clip for one of my tracks
and i don't know what kind of program i should use.
i started with photoshop, kinda usefull since i could edit all my layers live but i can't loop micro event (like a drop for exemple) and if there is a lot of things in the screen, it's hard not to forget something.
i tried after effect (without the aliasing effect of course ) but i'm not satisfied with the scrolling, it's not moving smoothely
do you guys have an advice ?
i don't want to use a gif animation software, i have to deal with a lot of scrolling, cause i want the clip to look like a beat them all with a lot of parallax scrolling.
thank you

I use Flash for long pixel animations.

@ Waphex = I would go with jalonso's advice... I use charamaker1999 to preview animation of sprites, but that's only good for people who just wanna animate sprites in specific, not good for making .gifs nor videos like in flash, so yeah, that's your best bet for that type of stuff.

@ Jalonso = I was wowed, nice video (not to stray off-topic).

thank you for the advice
flash is ok for new style animation like the one (wich is brilliant) made by Jalonso, you can do smooth translations and rotations and it's ok but it just doesn't move pixel by pixel old fashioned style. that's what i look for. since i'm on mac, i think i'm going to use after effect anyway and make "fake pixel art" scrollings most of the people wouldn't notice and i'm short scheduled !
thank you

I'm on a Mac too. Flash will move pixel by pixel if you define coordinates for every frame. Maybe my example was not the best example to show that.

Hi everybody I've got
kind of the same problem like Waphex,
because of that I did not wanted to start a new thread.

The problem is that I have done a  animation (143) frames
in GraphicsGale but it was to big to save as gif, so I had to import it as png.

Would Flash be capable of convert all this pngs into one gif ?

In Flash you can import your frames and then export as GIF file...dunno the quality tho.
ImageReady/Photoshop/Photoshop Elements will do 143 frames easily.

I'm sure many other apps do it too http://www.whitsoftdev.com/unfreez/ - like this one called unfreez!
