Hi Pixel Art community!
I am Eric, and our team is developing a casual MMO RPG Web-Based game. We have in the past submitted many paid contract for various part of our game including Characters, landscapes, and such.
But one part of our game is hard to fulfill and cannot be accomplished via traditional drawing. That is why i am turning my hope on the wonderful art of pixel drawing.
Here are the details:
- We have a huge scalable (deep zoom) map.
- We must represent various "location" on the map. Location type includes: Town, Village, Castle, Ruin, Cave, Port, Boat, and such. You know, like on the map of Dragon Quest and such.
- Since our map is itself kinda a huge pixel art, traditional drawing doesn't fit well on the map.
- First we were considering an ISO style. But we notice that the effect is better if the drawing are face front instead.
- Size can vary between 40-80 pixel wide.
I will provide many more detail to those who are interested. Including screenshots, our map and various tests we already made.
This could only be the beginning. If available, the artist that works with us can have a bunch of other art to do.
We don't really have a deadline for this. Our game is a work in progress and we still have a lot of work to do our self. So the artist don't have to work full time on this. As long as we have like 2-3 drawing each week we will be happy.
We are serious about our project and we really hope to find the best artist for us. Thank you.

Hi again everyone.
This job offering is now under evaluation and we have received many samples from many talented artists.
I wish to take the times to say that i appreciated working with you guys here and that Pixel Join is a very nice community. I will always come back here when we will have more job to fulfill.
This place is full of talented artist that really care about the quality of their work. I had some artists that took a whole day to really nailed the style and the colors to make it blend well with our map.
I am very pleased and satisfied.
