Hello guys (and gals),
I'm trying to create a turn-based strategy game similar to Fire Emblem (the ones for SNES and GBA in particular) for iPhone.
Much of character sprites and some of character portraits are already established. I'm always looking for more but as long as the styles wouldn't have conflicts. ;-) Right now mainly I'm looking for a couple of level designers and GUI designers: map, icons, HUD, menu, etc.
This is a paid job where you'll have to sign a piece work/payment contract to avoid any legal complications. For other arts like map sprites and portraits I'm paying a flat rate per art, but I'm thinking for map designing & making things might have to be more flexible. I'm thinking USD 30 - 50 per map depending on the size and the detail level. I know it's not much but it's a personal project that I fund with my savings account. =)
As for the map, each tile space is 16x16, and the tileset per map should be a 8 bit palette image: should have less than 255 color + magenta designated for transparency. The map could have multiple layers if there are objects above the characters.
The writer prepares the sketches of the maps he plans, but an artist can always go above and beyond.
Of course any work included will be credited.
