I'm new here and don't know much about the place, but I've heard it's a good place to improve your spriting abilities. Anyway here is a WIP sprite I'm doing
Please CnC and feel free to edit it to show me how to improve it. I've only recently started out in spriting and this is my second sprite, so the shading and stuff is quite bad.

although there are many ways to pixel, one of the commonly accepted methods is to block in your forms first, this can help you see anatomy and proportional problems before you spend too much effort finializing anything.

you can do this by choosing some simple colors for each body pary and then just painting in the whole body. tweak it until anatomy looks right, and then outline/color correctly. you may find this useful to yourself or you may not.

I'm bringing this up because here you only have half the body done, but you've spent some time (i'm assuming) detailing it (for example the hair), yet you don't even know if your body will stand right once you add the legs. for example, he/she seems hunched over, if that ends up being the case, you'll have more work to do fixing pixels than if you had blocked out before hand.

Hope this helps!
