Hi, I uploaded me pixelart and it was removed saying: "REASON: We're sorry to inform you that your submission does not
meet our quality standards or the art needs revision for some
miscellaneous reason."
Is my pixel so bad? Or what misc. reason?

Probably a lack of reference picture.

It looks traced and if so a ref is needed in your description. People like/want to see what liberties and other creative things you have have made seeing the original pic. Nothing wrong with references or even tracing to get your lines but people can't c+c if they don't really know what they are looking at. Of course if you reduced the colors in a photo and then cleaned up its never going to be added cuz, it won't be pixelart. It also looks a bit rough/dirty/unfinished. It does have a lot of very jaggy areas.

Thanks, Jalonso! it is not a trace. i'm just a beginner, so it is a trainig for me. I looked at photo and tried to reproduce it in pixelart, by hand, pixel by pixel. no filters, no reducing colours or any other kind of trick. ok, I forgot a ref. thanks for answer.

Just know that it was not me that sent it back so I don't know what another Mod was thinking or saw that made him decide to send it back, k.

Hello. I have gotten a "Revision Required" message as well. However, mine is different.
REASON: Please make sure backgrounds are transparent or
serve a purpose -- don't just post a white background unless it fits. If
you need help making a background transparent please refer to the ../pixels/faqs.asp#faq1287 - FAQ . Be careful with PNG transparency!
This is not to say you cannot resubmit the piece in the future after revising it. We encourage you to participate in our http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/ - forums
which include a Work in Progress (WIP) category. This is a great
opportunity to gain knowledge and feedback for your pixel pieces before
submitting them for approval on the main site.
If you feel this
is a mistake please post a FRIENDLY message in the Resources/Support
section of the forum and we'd be happy to discuss it with you. Responses
to this issue within the gallery site will be ignored.
Here is the sprite

I would make the background transparent, however, I made the background green so you can notice the gunshots better.
I didn't want to make a new thread just to say this, if you still have a problem I will be happy to change it.
Thanks.

In theory sprites should work on any BG as that is essential in any game. If your gunfire doesn't read well in every color BG then your gun fire is a blank >.<
However PJs default BG color is grey and the hair is grey too and that is probably a bigger problem. In exceptions like these you must say in the description why the BG color is there as we can't read minds, k.
Maybe, just maybe changing grey to a blue-grey and defining the gunfire will make for a better sprite.
