CHALLENGE: Small Bigfoot

How about we go for a small challenge this week: create a full body sprite of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigfoot - bigfoot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bigfoot - . A http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeti - yeti is fine too.

Canvas Size - Max 50 x 50.
Colours - Max 17. Remember, this number includes transparency.
Transparency - Required.
Animation - Optional.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)

perhaps its because you havent shaded them yet, but his feet look really strange... with a head that big, wouldn't he fall over?

Its not a stereotypical style of Bigfoot that's for sure, quite interesting. My first thoughts were of a clown though, because of the whiteness of the face although now it looks like a skull mask to me. The right hand side version looks more consistent, with the lefts torso the left head looks outta place. Worth putting forward in any case!

Here is my WIP, its hard to read and I need to change my palette though. I'd like some critique to help me along.

Wow kevink, I wanted to make something like yours, but I failed too many times, and started in other way.
Your piece is awesome, no doubt. One of my favorites so far.

I thought a baboon-bigfoot hybrid would be pretty sweet.
 'A' is the basically done version, I just can't quite decide on the hands between the two...

Maybe give that green a tinge of blue, and for his pecs maybe use one of your darker browns for one pixel dead center just above the arm. Great update in any case!

@Oreo - Honestly, I would say a big 'no' to that piece fitting any description of a bigfoot/yeti, but I think I'm going to have to begrudgingly go with an 'ok', as we've let some other pieces in with atypical amounts of limbs.

I think you should work on it a lot more, though. At the moment, you're really sitting at the bare minimum in terms of quality. Is there any reason you've made it so small?
