Hello, my name is Nathan Moller. I'm working on a little indie game project that needs some art. Google brought me here. I don't have a website yet, and please reply here or in PM.

For 3.5 years I was at BioWare as a Cinematic Designer (not an animator) and I shipped the games Mass Effect, Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky, Dragon Age: Origins, and Mass Effect 2. Before I left I was working on the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. Cinematic Designers do the conversations as well as some cutscenes, in-case you're wondering. Here's a little highlight reel of some of the stuff I worked on:

I moved home to the greater Seattle area to settle down and continue making games. The right job has not come around yet, so to keep myself busy I'm going to make a game in the Unity engine to be sold for Android, iPhone, iPad, and any other platform it'll work on. It's a pretty sweet idea for a game. I know this because I cannot wait to play it.

The game is a real old-school themed, arcade-style action game the likes of which these platforms have yet to see. It's fast-paced, frenetic, and hard to master. Most importantly the entire game was designed to exploit the control limitations of the platforms, rather than struggle against them. The programmer is beginning work on it as we speak, and I think I've got a musician lined up. What I need is the graphics.

Being a real retro-style game, and because it's meant to run on mobiles, there won't be a ton of graphics. The characters, I imagine, will be around Final Fantasy 3/6's level of detail, but I also want that level of expression, because there are some story moments that will be used to connect the player. It is arcade style, so there will be nowhere near an RPG or Adventure game's level of graphics requirement. Background art especially will be at a minimum. You'll understand if you see the design doc.

This is unpaid up front. We're all doing this on our own time and dime. Anyone working on it will, though, get royalties.

I think this is an awesome idea for a game, and it is designed well within the capabilities of a small, but talented group. I plan to mercilessly name-drop my former projects in order to sell the game, as well. That would be pretty sad if the game can't make a buck or two.

So, is anyone interested? If you are please reply with a link to previous art. I'm looking for someone with the skill that would allow them to work quickly and, more importantly, creative vision for the visual look of the game. Hopefully your previous work will show those qualities.

Thanks for your time.

Nathan
