Hey, new guy here.

I've used photoshop for 15 years or so. But I hate to animate in it. I wonder if there is a common software that most everyone uses? Because of the low res nature of 8bit art it seems people can recommend anything. But I wonder if there is one that is most popular... aside from photoshop.

Try to use the search button please. This is an extremely common question.

But as long as you asked: MSpaint + Giffy + unFreeze does a great job of pixel animation.

mspaint sucks ass, use a different program for the actual pixelwork -insert grafx2 plug-
