Hey guys'I would like to hear your opinions about my wips.
So the first one, aint completely my-its tooked from one of my fave works around here:
A room for one last project
(by the way-i think this guy worth some worship )
any way-i just started it about three months ago and just started working on it again.i want you to see it-maybe you have something important to say me and I don't know about it .(by the way-i tryed to "copie" his rocks look[i think i did it in the worst way],and i used his color plate.)
I think the clouds came out pretty nice...
other wip - this is wood mask, and i did it all by my self.(in tiny pixels during school(ipod app)
its kinda "old&broken" style (i tried use some green like it was a bit wet).
(if your asking yourself what is this thing in the eye-i tried to make like an old machine system with all those lights and the red-grey metal)
please use simple language because im from Israel (i turned 13 about six months ago)
PS-i dont think i completely understand this whole rocks "material" so be easy on me
UPDATE:
I changed some clouds, and add some rocks.

Sometimes stuff just slips by, or people cant think of anything to say.
It's not the kind of stuff I'm good at, so I can't say much (I don't do landscapes very often), but the rocks look like they lean a bit more towards Pillow Shading than real shading. The rocks up at the top look better, less pillowed.
as for the mask, the colors make it a bit hard to recognize as wood, and the shading lacks contrast to it looks a bit flat.
Keep workin :) (really love those clouds btw)

It doesn't seem to be at a point where much can be said. You don't explain or describe your goal and looking at it critically every section seems to convey a different general feel...so yea...it looks all over the place.
Maybe you should climb some mountain top and ponder

When you're trying to imitate fools style, dont focus on just the colors...
There's no depth, get rid of the pillowshading, and the shading on the top is too gradientlike and flat
Aswell as darkening the stairs when they go behind the rock is not the proper solution, fool fades out stuff by adding blue/violet/environment tones (general depth application in realistic art)
Also, don't focus on Dither... or detailing the rocks, look at WIP stages of Fool's pieces and you will see the usual way to shade is blocking out areas, then detailing. The general composition of a piece is the most important, giving it depth, the special ambience...
Small tip, which I hope will help, sharpening edges will help in that style... and that's exactly the opposite you're currently doing
Avoid outlines.
