I've always wanted to program a train simulator, but wanted smooth curves all in isometric perspective. The blocks here seems to look somewhat correct, but I know there could be many improvements. I don't know if I'm going about this the hard way. Can anyone offer any tips, edits, links or resources?

Oh man, somewhere in this section this was asked and 'orbofwisdom' posted a most perfect solution. I couldn't find it :/ It was like 3 or 4 years ago.
For sure there is NO smooth iso lines when you leave the basic lines. Coloring and details hide a lot tho.

Well, this was interesting so I had to test it with a little script.

@DawnBringer - That's very interesting. But would the side ones be shortened and widened like that in a true isometric perspective? I could be wrong, but wouldn't they be all the same size? Now I'm confused...lol

In iso, depth is half of the true distance (so, yes :P )
Dawnbringer's thingy brings up a point I was goint to make; how about showing the true horizontal and vertical views? Might help because they use "perfect" lines :)

@Jeremy - I might use true horizontal and vertical views depending on how I can get things to match up. My thought was...as long as I keep angled lines, things would look similar.
