So, this here is a sprite i'm making for a (already made) game, my goal is to take a whole bunch of the games mainline units and re-create them as practice before i start doing my own, original, characters.

As you can most likely see, i looked at the original sprites legs while making, which is why the legs are better than the rest of the sprite, one of the things i want to change is that, i want my own legs. (The legs are almost pixel for pixel the same.)
Also: I have to use the same pallet im currently using, but i want it to look less... blue?
Any critz/tips/free food/links to good porno sites (Joke) are not only welcome, but asked for.

Hey man. It would be helpful if you told me (us) what game it's for so I know what art style you're trying to do. Some good tips would be to, remove the black lines and replace with coloured lines. You could leave the outline as black lines that don't go into the body to make it look more cut out and projected. Might want to change your colour choices a bit too! But it's good for new stuff. Anatomy seems acceptable! <3

Gaaarngh! i forgot the evils of black lines

Soooo, I think I addresses most (or all) of the problems you mentioned, the game is called Battle For Awsomenoth. Er... Battle for Wesnoth.

Anyways, here is the updated sprite. Also: im posting the sprite it is based off of.

LOL 'awesomenoth'. The image has already drastically improved by removing those black lines! The colour choice still bugs me, but the original image somehow makes it work. That will forever be a mystery to me. Try changing the hues a bit as it gets darker and the saturation, contrast makes stuff look interesting! And if you think you're up for it, some anti-aliasing. There are many tutorials posted on this website that can be found via the search button.
