CHALLENGE: Final Forestry

This year is the http://www.un.org/en/events/iyof2011/ - International Year of Forests . So, to kick things off this year, you are challenged to pixel a scene set sometime in the future, depicting the last remaining forest on Earth.

It may be a forest preserved in an ancient history exhibit 5000 years from now; or maybe it's a forest that exists in such a remote location, that it has so far remained untouched by humans.

Anyway, I'm sure you guys can come up with better ideas; but your image should clearly show that it is Earth's final forest. If it is in any way unclear, you should explain your idea in your description.

Canvas size - Max 150 x 100. Either horizontal or vertical.
Colours - Exactly 11.
Transparency - Optional.
Animation - No.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)

Hey man, if you have enough skills to make an account, you can make pixel art too! Practice makes perfect.

Everything takes practice. One who doesn't practice will not learn.

I'm pretty satisfied how mine is going. it isn't really spectacular, i just like to participate :P

Yes of course I can make pixel art, but it wouldn't look good :p I'm not saying I will suck forever, I will enter in contests in the future for sure :)

Cure, go finish that stuff man. To be honest I think all those are best than the one you currently submitted. So submit every one of those, and win all three places! Go, go go!
