The Game-a-Month project

Brief description:
We're doing a different game a month for 12 months, building in complexity each month as we learn. As great as it would be to have one artist with us the whole way, we realize that life often gets in the way so we want to have a core group of artists we can contact each month to match styles with the project or spread out the work amongst multiple people if needed (we're currently employing 2 artists, at least one from this site).

Target aim:
We will be releasing the games for the iPhone.

Compensation:
We are paying, rates will depend on work performed. This is pay as work is completed, not a share of theoretical profits. Please send your rough rates for: 100x100 characters (with 2-6 frames of animation), 32x32 terrain pieces and 640x320 backgrounds. We'll of course discuss specifics per project, I'd just like to have an idea of how much extra money we'll need each month as our art budget is coming from our paychecks and, unfortunately, we're not fabulously wealthy.

Technology:
We're developing solely for iOS.

Talent needed:
We need 2d sprite artists that have a bright, cartoony style. We'll need characters (with a couple basic animations), backgrounds, ground tiles. Each month the games will be different but in general we're going for a fun, silly style.

Also, if there are any composers that have a light, fun style we'd love to hear what you've got too.

Team structure:
Our core team is made up of two programmers and myself as designer/producer/anything else that needs doing. We work in the industry making larger games but we wanted to get more hands on experience so we've decided to make a series of small games to learn iOS mechanics.  Our choice of iOS was because it was the best for developing saleable skills. Also, actually releasing to the App Store forces us to stick to a design plan and have a solid "done" point.

Previous Work by Team:
We are wrapping up our first game "Super Cake Muncher" and are working out the concept for our March game.

Additional Info:
We're pretty easy to work with but our big requirement is the ability to work with deadlines; once we've determined art requirements we'll need them completed within 2 weeks to keep on schedule.
