The reason should have been said in big bold letters. Please go back and re-read it and tell us what it says.

REASON: We're sorry to inform you that your submission does not meet our quality standards or the art needs revision for some miscellaneous reason.
I don't think my art is THAT bad?

It's not great, but I don't see it bad enough to be rejected.
Guess there's nothing we can do but wait for the mod that sent it back. :\

"it's not great"
Glad you said that, what's the main thing that makes it "bad"" ? (not meant as defense, I just want to improve ;) )

I think it might be the little steps he takes. But only the mod who sent it back can give you the real reason.

ah, I meant what makes it look not great in YOUR opinion ;)
One that dares to say something isn't great, is the one who can actually deliver critics :) So that''s why I asked ^^
So now, do I need to message a mod ?

I personally think his head needs to move. The body looks rubbery but I believe that's more a result of the head being fixed in one point than anything else.

I thought so too, but letting it move a bit up and down looked really weird :/

It's a bit odd that this was rejected. I can't find any technical flaws and the quality is on par with, if not above images that get accepted every day. Maybe some mod woke up on the wrong side of the bed ;) Anyways, it would be nice to hear a more precise motivation.

Do we really have to wait for a mod to just run by now? XD

The right mod to run by* Maybe the mod that rejected this doesn't regularly check this sub-forum. It seems fine to me as well (could use plenty of improvement but definitely seems gallery worthy), so I'll ask the mods what's up.

Maybe I was a little too hasty sending this back. If you truly do feel that I was wrong, then resubmit and I'll put it through. However, I strongly urge you to continue working on this before you resubmit. Perhaps you could even start a WIP thread!
My thoughts on the piece: I like the character and the pixel art itself is ok (not great, though); it could definitely use some more refinement, particularly in terms of removing the http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11299&PID=139322#139322 - banding (scroll down the page a bit).
Anyway, the main problem is that there are fundamental issues in terms of the actual animation. As mentioned before; the head needs to move, and the leg movement should be more pronounced. Keep in mind that knees are very important when walking. Have a go at walking around normally now; look at how your legs/knees move.
http://www.idleworm.com/how/anm/02w/walk1.shtml - This site has a good overview of walk cycles and you may want to read over Stickman's http://www.pixeljoint.com/2011/01/28/3371/Pixel_Artist_-_Stickman.htm - recent interview which focuses on pixel art animation. Also, have a look at this image for some ideas about various movement styles - consider what kind of movement is most appropriate for your character. I don't think sliding/shuffling was quite what you intended :P

Anyway, I think it's best for you to continue working on this piece; even if I did wake up on the wrong side of the bed, I still maintain that there's a lot that can be improved upon here. And there really isn't any rush to submit things to the gallery.

Aye thanks ;) Is this animation better then?

much better I feel the shoulders should swing more, as in the torso should twist a bit depending on which foot is forward. anatomy could use some work, his torso is barely thicker than his arms, his arms are as thick as his legs, and the shape of the head bares little resemblance to the shape of a skull
This would probably be best as a thread in the WIP forum, however.
