Novus Dawn
Brief Description
----------------------
Novus Dawn is a fantasy based tactical RPG in the isometric perspective. It is a story driven game that has been influenced a lot by early tactical RPG's such as Final Fantasy Tactics. It is also not MMORPG, because we all know how well those end up. Although still in it's early stages, quite a bit has been accomplished and we have some great plans for the future. But for the moment, this is where the project stands.
Game Engine
--------------
The game engine is starting to take shape, being programmed by a very talented programmer with over seven years experience. The current high level capabilities of the game engine are:
Isometric Rendering.
Movement and Path finding.
Skills Framework and Implementation.
Animations.
Special Effects such as particle and heat displacement effects.
Radial Menu for action selection.
User Interface panels.
Base Damage Algorithm

Story Development

We have a story being developed under the title Novus Dawn. The following documentation has been developed:

Target Aim
---------------
Upon completion of the prologue (demo), we plan to launch the game on many popular Flash portals such as Kongregate and Newgrounds as well as apply for funding support from http://www.flashgamelicense.com/. After launching the game, we will also have a project page on http://www.indiegogo.com in order to receive more pledge funding for the creation of the final, larger game of Novus Dawn.
The full version will be ported from Flash AS3 to C# and be released as a downloadable and/or a steam game.
Compensation
--------------------
Because this is a portfolio driven project, there is no up front payment. However, if we receive funding of any kind, we plan to pay out an allowance for completing the demo, and to help motivate through to the end of the main Novus Dawn game. Any money received in sales upon final release will be divided amongst members of the team based on a set profit sharing model.
Technology
---------------
The game is being developed in Actionscript 3.0 in order to launch the demo on Flash game portal websites in order to gain early attention and funding. The game will then be ported to C#.
Talent Needed
-----------------
We are in need of four different types of artists to join our team.
Concept Artist - User Interface. Designing of assets in terms of menus and buttons both in battle and navigation.
Concept Artist - Character Design Sketches.
Concept Artist - Environment/Tile Sketches based on our world documentation.
Final Asset Artist - We are looking for either a pixel/vector artist of high quality to take the concept work and translate it. We may consider paying this position.
