Hi Everyone,

Loqheart is looking for some great pixel artists to help us bring our iPhone game to life. Our game is currently in development and will launch in a few months. It is a word game that has "Street-Fighter"-like gameplay, so we are looking for artists that can create interesting 2-D characters/sprites. The characters will be ordinary people (auto-mechanic, a grocery clerk, a grandma, a mailman, etc.) but when they fight, they will be just as dramatic and over-the-top as any street-fighter character. (Similar to "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World")

We're looking for artists with excellent design sense, who can create charming and humorous characters, pay attention to details, and have a finely-tuned eye towards beautiful and dramatic animations.

For reference, we have paid previous artists $25-$50/hour depending on the quality. Prices and rates are negotiable. We are a new company, but we are financially stable and have a record of payment.

If you're interested in helping us build a great game or want to find out more, please contact David at this email: david@loqheart.com

Please provide samples of 2-D sprites and characters you've created and ideally any character animations in a 2-D battle context. If you don't have any to show, we'd like you to provide a test sample to gauge your ability.

For instance, try creating a 15fps (240 x 320) idle animation of a regular 30-year old in a fighting stance flipping her hair back. (like her:http://img27.imageshack.us/i/redheadgirlp.jpg]image link)

Or create one of a 60-year old woman walking with her cane/walker. (like her: http://images.businessweek.com/ss/05/06/anime/image/howls_moving.jpg)

Look forward to seeing the submissions,
Cheers!
