Cleaning my 'Dead Pixels' folder and after hating it when made (last year) it doesn't seem so bad now. c+c pleez!  Its an Andy Warhol game mockup :) ------------- |

@lucas, what do you find off with the moon and banana? The style? @bannana, I'm not the biggest Warhol fan and the colors just always have seemed wrong. For a while I had a softer more muted color scheme as Warhol's prints have but it looked dull...anyhoo, I did hate it but I'm determined to clean my dead pixel folder. ------------- |

Hmmm, fair enough. Still, personally i love the colours, they fit well with the chaotic and yet simple nature of the
mockup. I was going to try to offer some crit but really i love it how it is. If i had to give some, i'd probably say that the bannana looks a little off, i don't know why, maybe the curve doesn't look quite right to me. However i understand you can only get so much detail into this kind of size so that may not be fix-able. EDIT: out of interest, did you ever animate the characters or just pixel the frames that we see here? Any tilesets? |

Reworked all colors to be just a bit duller. Moved and tweaked stuff, including the banana. Added the electric chair and the zipper from the Sticky Fingers album. All c+c welcome :) @bannana, No, just what you see. Mockups generally are just to convey the action and look and feel for a game. ------------- |

Ah. The reason i asked was that i threw this together the other day so you could see how it might look in an actual game, and it would have been nice to have the character in there, animated, aswell

@bannana, Macs don't run exe's :( WIPs of 3 new screens. In Warhol's art the subject of commercialism and capitalism in general has to be accounted for somehow. These 3 new screens show Warhol's 'flowers' which he sold to just about every hotel and corporations for their lobbies and is his complete sellout piece so I felt it should be included, tho I don't really like the title screen because of them :| The shop screen is the 'wave of the future' where game companies WILL sell you real stuff for real money inside their games for extra revenue. Here its chiptune disco music for BG play options. Maybe this links to the AppStore??? The 3rd screen is going to be a collection of celebrities and famous people of the 70s.  ------------- |

Thanks all!, especially for not calling out the obvious SMW clone gameplay and hard to read 16x16 tile pixelling. This was important as all the screens make Warhol's Marylin and I didn't want biased c+c. http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/61009.htm - Its in the gallery now! ------------- |
