Why did the System refuse my pixel art? It was normal pixel art, one was a flower, and one was the Planet Express Delivery Ship from Futurama, none including anything even CLOSE to inappropriate. Please tell me why you refused to take my art?

      Cheers,
Futurama104

The pieces you submitted did not meet the quality standard required for the gallery. they looked to have been created very quickly, and very sloppily. It would benefit you to read "The Pixel Art Tutorial", found here in the resources/support forum (it's stickied at the top of the page). Additionally, you could create a Work In Progress thread in our WIP forum for feedback and critique.

After reviewing your work, however, I can tell you that perhaps the most beneficial thing you can do for yourself is to study the basics. Your art lacked proper pixel technique, but beyond that, it suffered from a lack of knowledge of the fundamentals of any art, regardless of medium. Understanding of things like lighting and shading, line and form, color theory, etc. are necessary for the creation of any artwork. Unfortunately, pixel art brings its own difficulties, so the most efficient medium for learning the fundamentals is good ol' pencil and paper. Drawing from life daily is a good activity for building these skills. It's often best for young artists to build their skills in a traditional medium, then tackle the extra set of challenges associated with pixel art.
