Hi guys :)

Is there a program that enable palette swapping, or recoloring, just color by color that actually works on Window Vista >_<? I searched around, come up with Grafx2 but the program freeze when I try to use Swap function, Pro Motion trial (I'm not sure bout the "real" version) doesn't swap the color at all even when I press Swap like crazy DX And recoloring itself is such a long and arduous job :(
So any suggestion will be very much appreciated.

Thank you :D

Not a Vista user but Photoshop does this well.

Would you care to elaborate ? I have Photoshop 7 already and it would be nice not having to get an entire new art program for recoloring :D

Several of ways using Photoshop. These are what I mostly do, but there are more. Loads of PS tut pages on the web that detail other ways.

• the magic tool (0 tolerance-100%) for manual color swapping of single colors.
• make/save/load palette and work with indexed colors instead of RGB.
• replace color in edit menu.

Grafx2 doesn't freeze, it waits for you to click on the color to swap.
If you don't need a two-way exchange, there's the color replacer tool : Right-click on Floodfill icon. With this tool, you can click any pixel on the image and it will replace all occurences of the target pixel's color with your pen color.
