NOTE: I'm not advertising the site, I'm justing pointint out a place where you can get this great program for free. If it seems like advertising, delete this post and don't ban me! Now then, I been browsing the net to find a good animation/pixel art program and I stumbled upon a site called ZONE. It seems they have a fully working and FREE Paint Shop Pro 7 application members of that site can download and use. I was reading about it on that site and they seem to have some kind of contract with Jasc them or something so they are able to distribute it on the condition it is not uploaded to any other site or to a downloading site like DepistFiles. I registered myself and decided to have a look because I thought it was one of those stupid "Register to the site and get this" then what you get is a good old SURVEY crap and you never get what you looking for at the end... But it actually worked! So if you would like to use it, you can I guess, you should download it now before it expires or they delete it or something. Cus having this program for free is really not normal! You will find it in PUBLISHER, right under Site to the left side. However, you will need to register to the site in order to view that section and download the thing. Bullsh*t, sir. This new site has the same name as "your own site" which you talked about before, you're a moderator two days after it's up, and even promise money to people who will register. And I did stumble upon it. Since I saw it being almost deserted I asked the administrator if I can be a moderator and they accepted. You should stop acting like the fool you are. Here's a picture of the program you can download at the publisher section:  Notice the address at the top left... It's there in the publisher section. Jokes on you I guess. And the site will be a seller site, and will be having contest and such anyway... So whatever floats your battleship man. He's referring to http://www.pixeljoint.com/p/8537.htm - thUg who made some (maybe all?) of the http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixels/faqs_ranks.asp - rank icons (scroll down to see them) that we use on pixel joint. The handgun that appears under the word "private" on the posts in that forum seems to have been stolen from that list of rank icons. That is unless he gave permission for its use, which I don't really know.

But that would have to be talked about with the actual webmasters of the site because I don't know about that. What I do know is that they will have this website linked to though. |

I didn't say anything about the PSP7 offer itself, but now that you call it to my attention... Only Corel can license PSP (any version) since it bought Jasc and all its intellectual property in 2004. The license text is a joke that shows a total lack of understanding of copyright and software licensing practices. The customized splash screen even misspelled "solely" ! I guess you can't expect better from a site that wants to live off the money it takes in the selling of images by uploaders (instead of copyright holders). Even if ignorance was an excuse, now you know, so please stop spamming the forums with this. This copy of PSP is as legitimate as one you'd find on any warez site. |

can't argue with that. thread locked. Climax would like a rebuttal. why not, thread unlocked for the time being. It's obvious from the poor english littering the site and the ripped PJ art that the site's not legit, but go ahead and defend it. |

Well... I think the only thing ripped can be the badges and 3 other
things. Other then that, nothing else... And the site has a whole mess
of icons that can be found in the forums section and you can see that
for yourself. Along with that, this site hasn't even started yet and you
guys bashing it, that isn't very nice. Point is, I'm not promoting the
site, I'm posting a link to a program that can be used by others to help
them in their work for creating images or pixel art. That is the point of this thread. And on a side note, "english" is written with a capital "E" for you information. And I don't know why you claim that the site has poor English if everything written on it I do understand it very well, and everything is pretty much clear to me. Those that don't understand it, simply don't know English. The icons being used by the site will be replaced soon anyway, so I don't know the problem you guys are having with that. They have many custom icons created too that they wouldn't mind if you would like to use.. But then again, your community is very large and when you want something, you all just post news about it and your "fans" goes charging in to create icons and stuff for you. I'm sorry if this site is highly new and doesn't have that many members to do the same. Anyway, when the site is ready and goes online, I know for sure it will be like no other site on the internet and will surpass every other. What will be sold on that site is professional photography, images, stock photos, custom fan-made comics, 3D models, artwork, drawing and pictures. And of course, images you find on the internet by browsing can't be sold, the rules of submissions for selling or just posting are at the forums and when you register. But you can also post images on the site found on the internet that impress you and upload them in the Collection gallery. The Collection gallery can also be used to add images of rendered 3D model pictures which you can hand out for free. Either way, once the BUY and SELL buttons goes online, the site will get packed with traffic and members and venders. My hobby is selling 3D models and I am in just about every 3D model selling site on the internet and I know well over 100,000 3D modelers from around the world that will be willing to join the site simply to sale at the site. I just find it sad how something new is judged so poorly knowing it just started. Yet I am told I am "spamming" the site on here and I only posted about it here and somewhere else. And finally, like I said before, this is to let others know where they can download something useful. They can register, get the program and never go back to site, so I don't know what the site is going to benefit from that. Sites benefit from people being ON it, not OUT of it, every webmaster knows that. And the terms of use written in text form on the image I provided is a splash screen that appears when you run the program, and what it has written on there can't be modified by us because that is how it was given to us. So if you want to bash... Bash yourself. P.S. If that site comes online and starts getting the fame it well will gain later on... I'm sure you will be the 1st to join it. I seriously don't know why I had to point all that out. |

[as an aside, Jasc Software, the company with which the Zone has an "exclusive contract", hasn't in fact existed since 2004] And on a side note, "english" is written with a

Then maybe the crying would stop. I was the one who sent it to them anyway. Can be easily taken down and replaced. But not pictures as in, comics, adult comics, hentai, pixel art work and just about everything you can imagine as an image. On that note, the site is a site for the MEMBERS, not the site owners. Contest will go on the site to give members of it money, and also RANDOM money will be given to members as well. Like you log in and all of a sudden you see a Metal Icon as a award on your member profile with $43.98 which means AUTOMATICALLY you get that payed to you at the end of the month for NO reason. Something no site on the internet does. Yes, some sites do contest or whatever, but that is a contest done by the MEMBERS of the site (DeviantART) not the SITE, site. You will see just how different the site will be with time. Seriously, link me to a place where I can download Paint Shop Pro 7 for FREE without a trail... I don't think you can, I wonder why we actually have it. Seems to me you know the industry. I've yet to see any proof that this site has permission to distribute the software available, just you arguing with poor logic. Corel bought the rights from Jasc in '04, and your illegitimate site has no grounds to offer the software (or use art stolen from elsewhere). I doubt Corel gave the rights to art-thieves with poor eeeeenglish. Corel themselves don't give this program away for free. If they're trying to sell it, why would they let an obscure little site on the internet give it away? Pretty stupid business practice, don't you think? Thread locked permanently. Advertise your pirated software elsewhere. |
