Hello, all in good? Well today I decided to move a design from paper to computer and left a horrible kid, crooked lines, disproportionate sizes and everything. I wish you could help me to leave this beautiful lineart, more like to first correct the errors, hits the lines and so on.

Follow the lineart:

Note: I would like to reduce the size because there is no need for this ax so great.

I think the best way to correct the crooked lines would be to start over on a small canvas first and then worry about the lines after that. Maybe 200-300 pixels wide.

Even if you were to fix the lines in the current size trying to shrink this while keeping the drawing intact would be too hard and take too long, if it can even been done. After it is shrunk you would still have to fix the lines again because of the errors that the shrinking process would create. So making this small should be done first, and then correcting the lines is done second. It's also much easier to make lines straight when they are small.

If you have a program like Photoshop, scaling down might anti-alias it enough that the jaggies are less apparent. Then it would be easier to manually trace over it at pixel-level.

Also, it would probably be better to use a line/curve/spline tool instead of a brush/pencil tool next time you want to sketch an inorganic object...

@ Tanuki I got it, I also feel better with the decrease of the same aspects that go trying to fix the lines, I would never be enough to let him pretty well.

@ rustEdge One more is that this drawing was done on paper and then scanned, so I tried to follow the lines with the pencil, I will next try to get the spline.

@ onek really looks the same only better when it is smaller, I will try to decrease now, later I post the wip smaller.

Thanks (Sorry for the bad english I'm Brazilian)

Played a color that can be temporary.

Marked areas of the ax to say what they want to change that facilitates sujestão you.

I - I wanted to do a bit of a diamond, Emerald or Ruby (A precious stone) to make it like a sword, between where the warrior and safe blade.

II - where the warrior would hold, or another tip / blade I prefer a blade this size as a hatchet warrior holding the wood / cable.

III - The blade is not the best, I wanted an example of light and shade, and some tips for refinishing of the lines. 2 - The end of the cable and the metal part that divides the cord wood with wood which will penetrate into the lamina, wanted a softening in the wood that enters the slab.

IV - Wood / cable may look better?

Also, glaives normally have their cutting edge all the way down one side, not just at the tip. You could also try adding some shades near the chipped areas to simulate some dulling of the edge. A weapon so worn-down wouldn't be that shiny.

@ Unhero Do not know, I really liked this issue, someone bothers me, blood is not what I want. The madera I wanted a more refined tone, gray and I think that's kind of heavier, thanks for the time occupied in my name, no more excuse realemnte that's not what I want, worth even more.

Waiting for suggestions.

@ rusteEdge I understood what you meant, I tried but then I thought of making the blade is different than the current one is very down, then looked and saw the wink and I took a basic upgrade my blade, I found the very good result, and wanted to share.

Quick edit, I added better colors for the blade, the stone in the anti I edited out, more rounded, I added a stone to the blade of one aspect of the eye so it looks kind of a dragon.

Waiting for tips.

I think you're headed in the right direction. All you need is a little more research on existing weapons. And probably more information on what you want the weapon to be.

By design weapons are meant to deal damage. And decorations are often added to either enhance their battle-effectiveness or to give an impression of what they're for.

What's the gem for? Does it give an elemental attribute to the weapon? Does it enhance the blade, or the wielder? Is it purely decorative?

Is the blade primarily a slashing weapon or a piercing/stabbing weapon? A piercing weapon would have its center of gravity closer to the axis of the shaft. Having it centered means it's easier to direct your blows. A slashing weapon would benefit from a center of gravity at the opposite side of the blade, as inertia would keep the blade pointed in the direction of your swing. Or it can be placed in the middle so it's easier to twist the weapon.

How is the blade attached to the polearm? Is it forged into a single piece? Is it connected by rivets? Is it tied to it by leather bindings? Are there other clamping mechanisms used?

What is the shaft made of? Will it be thick/strong enough to support the maneuvers you'll do with the weapon? Does it have some degree of flex to it? Remember that thrusting weapons tend to have a straight shaft/arm, while slashing weapons have sweeping curves to help orient the cutting edge.

Currently you have a wavy blade which is meant to deal tearing damage, but your weapon shaft is meant for thrusting, which is a bit confusing.

I hope these questions would help you think of where to go to next.

Here I am again, I could not access the forum a few weeks, because of the tight weeks of evidence, low grade in one subject and i already know how: S

With the help of my friend Jinn, I made an impressive update on my ax, really got better. Now I can even call it magic, or a god to bring one thing from the bottom to the earth again, just a distraction * laughs *

Well, here's the update on my hatchet, I hope tips mostly in the wood because I have too much trouble, I'm looking to change the colors not to use the Jinn, the more that we can see ahead.

Update blade :

EDIT : This AA is good? I do not know do not have much experience beyond what you would like to criticize the ax in a whole criticize the AA, because I'm not sure you're okay.

I would now like to focus on wood, I'm researching textures that fit any more.

Well, now you may update a draft of strings, and a draft of new reflexes, a friend gave me a ringtone that might not be making sense of an ax because all the reflections were not pointed at one side only, but some others left to right.
Note: These strings may be up to facilitate the work on the cable, I would like you fizesem some observations.

I liked the version without the ropes. It looks little bit of halbert :) Also I lik your palette. On the earlier update the green one is better.

The rope really tied things together(LOL!), i liked it and think you should keep it. however you should maybe make the top surface abit more narrow the further back it goes:

Use this as a referance only, since I edited quickly with a brush from Windows 7  mspaint, which for some reason has antialiasing so it may have added some colors.
