Hi again fellow PJers,

I'm working on another game mockup while I wait for a programmer for my other game. I've been working for about a week on it and came up with this. So far it's just the background and the main character, but next I plan to work on the zombies. Any critique would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

By the way, that template in the left side of the mockup is for the zombie I'm going to start soon.

Maby, you could make those stars little bit more darker, becouse right now, they are looking littlebit like snow falling from the sky.

Trees are jaggy, I assume because it’s WIP? The limbs are too straight, not nearly as gnarled or organic as one expects from trees. I’d advise using references if you aren’t. The mixed resolutions thing never really works for me. It’s odd that the sky continues to the ground, with no horizon in the distance (which is possible if they’re on the tip-top of a mountain I suppose). I think having a solid color for the ground would work better than the (unnecessary) dithering on the grass. The headstones should be lightened if they’re going to be read against that almost equally dark background. I’d remove the braille-esque text or make it considerably more subtle (black might be a bit too harsh for the writing). The stars are too evenly-spaced, looks a bit unnatural. I assume the guy is filler since this is a sides roller? If not, he has really tiny arms and lacks ears, and his belt buckle is the correct size if and only if he’s a Texan. He also lacks sufficient forehead/cranium space, and again the mixed resolution makes him feel out of place with respect to the background.
