As the year draws near to an end, I find myself thinking over how much Pixel Joint has accomplished over the year - both as a site and as a community. There was amazing growth in members this year and some even more amazing ideas and pixels from all of you. In my humble opinion, it's always good to go over the good and the bad from the year to make the next even better. With that thought in mind, I ask you all to come forth with your own top 3 and bottom 3 in the year of Pixel Joint.
Here's mine:
Top 3:
- The Rising Collabs. Holy cow guys n gals! I dunno what this site would do without you. The collabs section of the forum is what really drives this site and helps get me inspired to keep pixelling. Some of the best collabs that went off were: Isometric City Mosaic, Action Figure Shop, The http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=153&PN=1 - Line Art Thread, Pixel Playing Cards, Mini Iso City, and theSuper Mega Creature Hatch-athon!
- http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelween/gallery.asp - Pixelween - our very first contest also collaborating with http://www.deviantart.com - deviantART
- http://www.pixeljoint.com/thejoint/ - The Joint - personally proud of this partially because of the template and base I made for it and also because of how many rooms have been made so far. I hope it continues to grow!
Bottom 3:
- The Fallen Collabs. Sometimes a collab idea is so good that people are too intimidated to help complete it or they just don't put the effort into doing exactly what the collab is intended for. Some of the best unfinished collabs IMO were: The Game Collab, The Evolution Collab!, and BuddyBlocks!. Go help revive them!
- Pixel Ezine. I take partial blame for not following up with this. I fully intend to make it happen in the future but, I've enough on my plate at the moment. Gotta finish dinner before I eat dessert.
- Idiots, Ranters, and Lazy Pixellers. All in all, people that aren't here to help expand and embrace the community as a whole. My opinion is that if you're here to pixel and be a part of a community, then do so! Don't post retarded threads like HELP ME!! I'm A n00B!! and post a crappy 3 second scribble of barney the dinosaur or something and expect someone to finish it for you. Also, don't go ranting and raving and expect people to understand where you're coming from if you can't explain yourself in simplistic ways. Lastly, lazy pixellers... colour reduced photos, sprite rips, etc. Learn your craft. Ask for ideas. Read tutorials. 'nuff said

Nice idea for a thread Blink
Top 3:
1. Pixelween; it was fun making a pixeled scene from
one of my favourite movies, and the stuff that others had made was
really impressive
2.
forum_posts.asp?TID=829&PN=1" target="_self" title="So the Blueberry_pie and I decided on MSN to collab. Behold the very first piece:Including hidden message. - Blueberry_pie and Brian the Great Collab ; this was/is a lot of fun... now get off ya lazy bum, Brian!
3. These forums; I learned a lot from other people's
WIPs (strangely enough I myself rarely posted them), and it's a great
community here. Cheesy as it sounds, I visit these forums every day.
Bottom 3:
1. N00bs.
2. People posting colour-reduced photos/images or
ripped pixel art in the PJ gallery (which also falls under n00bs).
3. Brian the Great not working on our collab anymore (which also falls under n00bs) I kid, I kid.
