Everdale is a new 2D game using custom graphics, Everdale is your simple RPG styled MORPG, you kill creatures, quest, and raise your skills. It's a mere time killer. THOUGH, the game is based upon simplicity. I.E, you start of with 5 health (represented by 5 hearts in the game, similar to Zelda) and your weapon does 1 damage, and the creature has 2 health, and gives 1 experience. It's all in small, relative terms. I'm not the greatest at explaining, sorry, but I hope you catch what I mean. The game is going to include a rich storyline with tons of lore that I hope to incorporate into the quest's.
[spoiler>
Everyone who dwelled on Everdale was peaceful, a mind of silver, and heart of gold, disease and tragedy was unknown to those who sought none. Disaster and death were a mystery, and magic was peaceful. But on a catastrophic nightmare, the Day of the Reaper, a celebrated Everdale holiday, the folk lore of it all was unleashed..and the destruction was above its height of all.
It was done out of hatred, greed, and jealousy. Dark magic that rose imps and demons and skeletal horrors from the ground, seeping all life from its very curled hand. The life of the world seemed to fade, and a thought that was never thunk was thought, hate, greed, jealousy had overrun the peaceful minds of silver, and hearts of gold, and ruined the planet from which it very knew.
Little hero's amounted to nothing had tried numerous times to stand up to its foe, but nothing had been accomplished except food shortages and silly plagues. You were considered lucky if you still had two arms and two legs and one eye that you could see out of, and perhaps a pair of underwear and stale bread. The rich became poor, and the poor became dead, and the dead became alive, and the alive became dead. It was a cycle that no being wanted to be of..
Soon, the darkness had to stop, a small refuge camp called Camp Verdict was established on a nearby planet, called Everdean, and do this day is still conjuring it's hero, its hero, is you, a small child born from the wife of the captain of the Verdict..Your adventure unfolds..[/spoiler>
[spoiler>
Knight [Tank/DPS>
The Knight class is designed as a tank, they take damage and deal minimal. They have increased health and defense, but poor magic and attack. They have moderate speed that gives them an edge. They are able to wield swords, daggers, maces, axes, shields, and, halberds, as well as wear platinum armor.
Magician [Healer/DPS
The Magician class is designed to use magic, to heal, or do damage. They have increased magic and intellect, which raises there mana, but they have poor attack, defense, and speed. They are able to wield staves, wands, and orbs, as well as wear cloth armor.
Archer [DPS>
The Archer class is designed as a damage class, they use speed and attack to range their enemies to oblivion, though they have lowered defense and magic, which may leave them vulnerable in melee combat. They use short bows, long bows, cross bows, muskets, throwing knives, throwing axes, and nun chuck's as a weapon, as well as wear leather armor.
Paladin [Heals/Tank/DPS>
The Paladin class is designed to be versatile, the choice is totally up to the player. They have increased magic, attack, and defense, but extremely low speed, which makes them vulnerable considerably. They use librams and relics as a weapon, to channel holy power, as well as wear plate mail armor.
Monk [DPS>
The Monk class is designed to be a melee damage class. They are quick, and hit hard, but have super low defense and magic, which makes them vulnerable against ranged or magic classes. They use power to channel energy. They use knuckle or fist weapons, combined with class skills, as well as wear chain mail armor.

I don't want to break your heart, but this project isn't going anywhere.
You are 3 guys with apparently no skill whatsoever related to creating games. You're not gonna code. You're not gonna make art. You're not even going to build maps? What will you do? What this essentially means, is that you have an idea and you want other people to make that idea into something real - for free.
And your idea isn't great or original. It's an MMO with very bland and generic characters/classes, and no special gameplay features at all.
I'd also like to note that you're severely underestimating the work that goes into making a game. One coder and one asset artist? You really think coding the entire game takes less time/effort than making some maps?
The best way to get anything real done, is by starting small and doing work for yourself. Not an MMORPG, nothing online, just a simple singleplayer game. Games like you see on http://www.kongregate.com/ - Kongregate and http://www.newgrounds.com/ - Newgrounds .

Well thanks man, Apparently you have no idea what your talking about, that's alright, and I respect that your an idiot. I've been creating MMO's with this engine ever since I can remember. What you have said/will said has no impact on me whatsoever. These three guys your talking about have made over 2,000 in donations from previous engine releases. And I have absolutely no clue what your even talking about when you say such, "You're not gonna code. You're not gonna make art. You're not even going to build maps? What will you do?" I've been coding for about 6 years in Visual Basic 6, and soon moving on to DirectX and VB.NET. I've also been mapping with RPG Maker for about 3 years and I;ve won the mapping award 3 times on Eclipse. But, I will admit, I am nothing of a pixel artist, that is something I cannot do. One coder and one pixel artist is what I've always worked with, two pixel artists cannot ever agree and create the same type of work, if you have more than one coder, then your project source will become jumbled as each one has to merge sources everytime they finish. So next time you come here and cry to me, wipe your ass and find out who your talking about first, thanks.

Lol.
He's actually pretty right about a lot of things he's mentioned.
You have no reason to be so hostile-- your OP implies that you're not going to do much work; You attacked him for not knowing how much coding you've done, when you don't even mention your own history in the OP. It is nobody's fault for assuming you don't have any sort of specific skill when you don't even mention it yourself!
You're not looking very professional right now, and insulting one who is genuinely trying to help you in your start in "real" game development will not get you very far with possible clients.

Aside from those statements being incorrect (I can make a meshing game with Souly right now if I want to, we both do code and we both pixel) I'd like to say this: you've noted yourself down as management. Yet you do not seem to know what management does, and why it's needed in a company, or other sort of collaboration.
Copypaste from wikipedia:
"Management in all business and organizational activities is the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively. Management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an organization (a group of one or more people or entities) or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. Resourcing encompasses the deployment and manipulation of human resources, financial resources, technological resources, and natural resources."
In short - you're the one to guide the pixel artists and the coders, so they won't work on conflicting things if you do your job well.
As for you knowing how to code - great and all, but you didn't post that, nor did you post any previous games or works, even though THE http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=671 - FORUM RULES TELL YOU TO.
And as you haven't answered my core question, I'll ask you again - what will you contribute to the project?
